03 Affectionate childcare at the WELCOME-Treff
Support for children with a migration background
The WELCOME-Treff is a meeting place for fugitives and committed people with volunteer language, encounter and cultural activities, reading lessons, creative and handicrafts and much more. Everyone is invited to take part in our activities or contribute their own ideas. In the WELCOME-Treff people of different origins and religions meet for encounters and exchange. They can give free rein to their creativity (e. g. sewing) and are also encouraged to shape their everyday lives more independently. And en passant German language skills are taught and language barriers can be overcome. So that parents, especially women, can find enough time for each other during the offers, we are looking for a loving and creative childcare. If you have the time and desire to regularly engage with children of different ages, to sing, play, do handicrafts and also contribute your own ideas, you are most welcome!
The content of this project is the creation of play and learning materials for playful language acquisition. In the practical part, a joint implementation for mothers and children is desired.
Information for international students:
Students with little knowledge of the German language are also welcome to get involved. It is important to enjoy meeting people and to be open to multilingualism. Students should, of course, be able to speak German when taking a German course. We speak English, French, Arabic, Farsi,.. But usually there is always one on-side to translate.
